The first obstacle is the mouth itself. The mouth is a veritable fortress, standing against all sorts of pathogens we come into contact with every minute of our lives. It's a very hostile environment and saliva has been shown to contain over a dozen different proteins and enzymes that damage hiv.

Hiv is a very fragile virus - literally. 关于否定旧金山一篇报导8%口交风险的报导 2002年
包含了两大长期实验，一个是美国的，一个是西班牙的
On average, the men in the study had had receptive oral sex with three different men in the past six months (range 0 – 400). The overwhelming majority, 98%, of oral sex was without a condom and 35% of men reported getting semen in their mouths, 70% of whom swallowed.
This study dramatically contradicts a much reported investigation, also conducted in San Francisco, which suggested that as many as 8% of all HIV infections amongst gay men were due to oral sex. The conclusions of this study were subsequently undermined, and a recently published Spanish study involving heterosexual couples where one partner was HIV-positive and the other negative, concluded that not a single case of HIV transmission could be attributed to oral sex in a ten year period.

    In June 2002, a study conducted amongst 135 HIV negative Spanish heterosexuals, who were in a sexual relationship with a person who was HIV positive, reported that over 19,000 instances of unprotected oral sex had not led to any cases of HIV transmission.3 The study also looked at contributing factors that could affect the potential transmission of HIV through oral sex.

What we can say with confidence is that seroconversion later than 6-8 weeks is uncommon to rare with modern tests, and is so rare beyond 3 months that it can be disregarded.
